What is a project space in the Project Space Festival context?

A project space is an independent art space with ongoing public programming.

It is rooted in the visual arts, but can have a multidisciplinary approach. A project space not only exhibits its own members, but also collaborates with third parties. A project space provides an infrastructure for the artist community and allows for experimental approaches within flat hierarchies. A project space does not take money from the artists it collaborates with.

What is a project initiative in the context of the Project Space Festival?

A project initiative functions like a project space without a fixed location.
